Ratings
Ratings are an important part of the Axebay Community. Ratings give members a
guide to the character of their trading partner. We have tried to simplify the
rating process by providing our members with a questionnaire that is easy and
quick to complete. Rating other members is voluntary; however, ratings make
Axebay a safer place to trade, so we encourage all members to take part in the
rating system. Please see our Ratings Guide for further
information.
Members are invited to rate their trading partner at the conclusion of the
transaction. As Axebay cannot determine the buyer of an item listed with a
standard ad, there are two different processes for rating members.
Standard Advertisement
After a seller sells an item from a standard ad they need to mark the item as
sold, see How to Mark an Item as Sold help document.
Once the item has been marked as sold the buyer will receive a confirmation
message from Axebay to confirm that they are in fact the actual buyer of the
item. Once the buyer clicks the confirm button a message is sent to the seller
inviting them to rate the buyer and a message is sent to the buyer inviting them
to rate the seller once they receive the item.
Auctions
At the conclusion of an auction where the reserve has been met both the seller
and the buyer will receive a message from Axebay inviting them to rate each
other. The seller should not rate the buyer until they receive payment from the
buyer and the buyer should not rate the seller until they receive the item.
How to Rate
To rate another member you can click on the link in the message regarding the
rating or you can go to My Axebay -> Activity and click on the ratings link
under the Shortcuts menu on the LHS of the page or you can find the ratings link
from My Axebay -> Account under the My Account menu on the LHS of the page.
Ratings Page
On the ratings page you will find your own ratings at the top of the page, any
transactions to be rated and any recently rated transactions including the
ratings for each participant in the transaction.
To rate a transaction click on the Rate Your Buyer/Seller button next to the
item you wish to rate. You will be given a short questionnaire. Simply click on
the appropriate radio button for each question and click submit.

Please be honest with your rating but not overly critical. Remember
no one is perfect.
